My name is Hunter Chang and I’ve been passionate about architecture and graphics design ever since high school. After graduating from the University of Colorado back in 2008, I worked for over a year as a computer drafter/detailer for Steel Built Corp, a metal building company based out of Pittsburgh, PA. I am currently employed at Madwire Media, Colorado’s largest web marketing and development firm located in Loveland, CO. Since my time there, I have learned a tremendous amount about web development, SEO, ecommerce, and marketing. I enjoy web design and development because everyday is a new and fast-paced learning experience with unique challenges to overcome.

When I was young, I never considered myself to be a very artistic person. My rather poor drawing and doodling skills discouraged me from exploring my creative outlook. This all changed, however, when I took my first AutoCad drafting class in high school. Being able to create different floor plans and construction drawings on the computer, a medium I was much more familiar with, was quite exciting to me. It was about this time when I also took a basic class on html, mostly because I’ve always been curious in how websites worked. And so began my journey of artistic appreciation and design.

During my years in college, I further expanded my studies in architectural and graphics design. My main focus eventually became learning as many software programs as possible. I dabbled in everything from 3D modeling to Flash actionscript programming. I skipped the upper level architecture studios and opted for more graphics and web development courses. In 2008 I graduated with a degree in Environmental Design as well as two design certificates from the ATLAS Technology, Arts, & Media program.
